Comics2Film reports Director Guillermo del Toro is currently in his fifth week of the eighteen-week production of Hellboy. The director reports that the shoot is going great and also added, "I'm having a blast!!" Ron Perlman is playing Hellboy, and actor Doug Jones is Abe Sapien.

These characters require tons of time in the makeup chair. The director says, "Bare-chested Ron is six and a half hours and Doug is around eight hours." Pictures of the actors in makeup should be available on the Official Website by this weekend!

"Hellboy" is due in theaters summer of 2004.
