May 6th is right around the corner again marking the annual free giveaways offered by your favorite comics publishers, from the big two (Marvel & DC) to some smaller independent companies.

The annual event was originally formed to spread awareness and bring attention to comics in general and to introduce kids to the sequential art form and illustrative literature. So if your new to the genre of comics and comic art or if you just want to save a few bucks, visit your local comics retailer or bookstore on May 6th and check out their selections for free comic book day. It won't cost you a thing!
