A Galactic Season Finale!! Print E-mail
    30 Mar 2005

The first season of the critically acclaimed sci-fi channel series "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" is coming to a close this coming Friday (4/1) and the first season has been nothing short of impressive!

As I mentioned in an earlier review of the show, this is not your daddy's "Battlestar Galactica" and while I was not much of a fan of the original late 70's version of the series, this rendition with it's superior acting, scripting and visual effects have converted me into a true fan of the show and have been since it made it's debut on the sci-fi channel last year, as a two part miniseries.

The inaugural season has been wrought with interesting developments and entertaining twists and turns and the season finale is sure to be a shocker. For those who follow the show we have been impatient spectators of the crew of the Galactica and her ragtag fleet comprising of the last known survivors of the twelve colonies after the devastating attack of the long dormant Cylons.

We have witnessed shocking developments such as the discovery of President Rosalin’s (Mary McDonnel) terminal cancer, the realization that "Boomer"(the beautiful Grace Park) is in fact a sleeper Cylon agent. The most recent developments have proven to be the most surprising though, with the nomination of Gaius Baltar (James Callis) as vice president to "Starbuck"(Katee Sackhoff) sleeping with Baltar while hiding some deep feelings for captain "Apollo (Jamie Bamber). For those who haven't checked out the new series, do yourself a favor and check it out, you wont be sorry, it’s a faithful update to the original show with great action and storytelling and is by far the best sci-fi on television today.

To find out more about the show, it’s creators, and cast you can find them at scifi.com
