It was just reported that Jerry O'Connell is the front runner for the Superman role in Brett Ratner's new take on the classic comic.
Also, an old rumor has resurfaced that Rob Low is in the running for Lex Luthor.
Production was supposed to begin this month but budget and casting concerns have pushed it back to a fall start.
At least the man of steal isnt Nic Cage!!!

Access Hollywood reported this evening that Justin Timberlake is the newest rumored cast member of the Superman remake. He is slated to play the Daily Planet's photographer Jimmy Olsen.
man, everytime I hear the latest in casting fo rthis movie I get more and more nervous about it....but once again...at least nic cage wont be wearing the blue spandex and red trunks!!

It definately looks like all bets are off on this doomed production. Superman just took another blow when director Brett Ratner recently backed out. His reason for the about face??...casting woes!!!

If you are worried about this film, there's a simple way to kill it. Start this rumor, based on that stinking American Express online thing...
The role of Superman has been given to Jerry Seinfeld.
Say it loud, say it often, say it everyplace on line. This misbegotten film will die quickly.
It will help if you mention you saw a trailer with that awful guy saying in a nasal voice, "WHAT is ALL THIS I hear about KRYPTONITE?"
