I am writing a review about the latest Marvel comic book move The Hulk. It was amazing. I am not kidding I really liked it. I am still thinking about it, and the more I do the more I like it. It was truly one of the best comic book movies EVER. I know that a lot of people will not agree with what I have to say. That is fine. Those are the type of people that think he looked CGI. Guess what folks, he was CGI and I wouldn’t want it any other way. There would have been no other way to create such a beautiful recreation of this passive mass.
I have never seen so much emotion exuded from a silent character, and the fact that he was created image impresses me even more. I am telling you folks if you can get past the drawn out subplot with Bruce’s Dad (Nick Nolte) the way too long Origin and the weak ending, you will love this film. I was so impressed with the directing. Ang Lee made a great film. I have never seen a comic book captured so will with the editing techniques. The acting was superb too (except Nick Nolte’s speech at the end). I thought Eric Bana did Banner perfectly, and Jennifer Connely was very strong. I won’t tell you there aren't faults, because there are plenty. The Dad stuff was weird. The origin was too long, and the end was kind of dumb. But none of those really matter when the Hulk is on the screen. I have to say that he was much more entertaining to watch in action than Spider Man (this coming from a huge fan of Spiderman). He is a true anti-hero. A passionate misunderstood beast whose only fault is his bad temper.
The bottom like is I think the Hulk was a great film and I hope that the rest of the world will too... because I would love to see him in action in a sequel.
